Enriching, Inspiring, Entertaining—and Interdisciplinary:  Arts Institute Events at the University of South Carolina

A core mission of the Arts Institute is to foster greater collaboration and cross-fertilization among all the arts-related programs at the University of South Carolina. To that end, the Arts Institute provides funding and other support for interdisciplinary projects that draw on the University's rich ange of artistic talents and resources to create innovative arts events that enrich, inspire and entertain in new and exciting ways.

We invite all members of the University community, whether in explicitly arts-related departments or not, to consider ways in which interdisciplinary arts programming can help you achieve your goals, showcase your strengths, forge stronger ties to the University community at large, and create new ways of sharing your work, your ideas and your insights with the rest of the world. Arts Institute funding is available, though a competitive grants process, for interdisciplinary arts-based programs and events on campus. To learn more or to download an application for funding, visit our Apply for AI Funding page.

Since its inception in 2005, the Arts Institute has helped many departments and individuals on campus express themselves through the arts in compelling and captivating ways. The following is a list of previous Arts Institute-funded events. To learn more about a specific event, click on its title for a full description.
