Each year, the Arts Institute provides funding and other support for a number
of arts-related events on campus. There are only two criteria a project is
required to meet in order to be eligible for Arts Institute funding:
- It must be interdisciplinary, involving at least two of the arts disciplines
(dance, film, literary arts, music, theatre, visual arts) on campus.
- It must appeal to a broad audience, i.e., not just to a handful of scholars
or artists in a particular discipline but rather to students, faculty members,
scholars and members of the general public.
If you have an idea for a project that meets these criteria, we would like to
know about it! We encourage all members of the Carolina community to get
creative and think about ways in which the Arts Institute can help you make art
that crosses disciplinary boundaries to say new and exciting things.

funded in the past), visit our Previous Arts Institute
