Sharing new ideas, offering new insights, suggesting new perspectives, and forging
new connections: these are just a few of the most vital ways the arts enrich our
lives and our communities. The Arts Institute was created in 2005 to celebrate,
enhance, and promote the rich array of arts programs and events at the University
of South Carolina.
The Institute accomplishes this mission in two ways: by serving as a central
resource for information about the arts at the University, and by providing funding
and support for collaborative, interdisciplinary arts projects.
If you are looking for information about upcoming arts events at Carolina, you'll
find extensive and detailed listings on our Calendar and Events pages.
If you are a student or faculty member at the University and have an idea for a
collaborative arts project for which you're seeking Arts Institute support, you'll
find the information you need on our applying for AI funding page.
And if you know of any arts-related events that you'd like the Arts Institute to
promote, or if you have any suggestions about how this website could further support
creative artists and arts lovers, contact the web editor at haynswor@mailbox.sc.edu. |
