Laura Hunsberger Erskine is a graduate of the University of Michigan and holds an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She has laid down roots in the Carolinas and worked in public media for more than half a decade, including NPR-acquired programs for South Carolina Public Radio. Whether through journalism, essay writing or audio, she loves helping people share their stories. 

Along with spending time with her husband and young children, Laura enjoys starting knitting projects and trying new recipes, with varying success. While working for her local library, she discovered the joy of cozy mystery novels and explored the art of book-to-film adaptations. Her favorite thing to do in Columbia is go to the Nickelodeon for popcorn and a movie.
