BARSC-MD: Baccalaureus Artium et Scientiae with Pre-Med Studies

I spent a summer in Germany as part of a Maymester in a five-week language immersion program. During the trip, I fostered relations with a host mother, traveled to numerous German cities and learned a lot about European culture. In addition, I was able to visit my cousins in Norway and make a trip to Amsterdam. UofSCallowed me to broaden my horizons and pursue medical education a year early through the BARSC-MD program. This past year has been challenging, fun and eye-opening. I have spent Saturday game days studying, Friday nights in the anatomy lab and many hours in the library. However, I have also seen Jake’s more than during undergrad, visited Asheville and picked up new hobbies like gardening and trying breweries. 

Future plans: Noah has completed his M1 year of medical school and plans to spend this summer doing clinical research and lounging by a pool.
